Who we are

Soka ni Kazi publishes football tips and predictions. We are not a betting operator and we do not accept bets. This policy covers our website and Android app.

What we collect

Your phone number. This is your account — you sign up and sign in with it. We need it to know which tips you have unlocked.

Your PIN. Stored only as a cryptographic hash. We cannot read it, and nobody at Soka ni Kazi can tell you what it is.

An email address and display name, if you choose to give them. Neither is required.

Payment records. When you buy a ticket or a tier we record what was bought, the amount, and whether it succeeded. We never see or store your mobile-money PIN, and we do not store card details.

How you use the app. Which tickets you open, when you unlock one, and whether you are on the app or the website. We use this to know which tips are worth publishing and whether the app is working.

Notification permission. If you allow notifications, your device gives us an anonymous address to send them to. It does not identify you personally and you can revoke it in your phone settings at any time.

What we do NOT collect

We do not access your contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone, or precise location. The app does not track you across other apps or websites.

Who else sees your data

Three companies process data on our behalf, each for one purpose only:

• EllyPay — takes mobile-money payments. They receive your phone number and the amount, because that is how the payment reaches you.
• EgoSMS — sends SMS messages. They receive your phone number and the message.
• Resend — sends email, if you gave us an address.

Our usage analytics are hosted on our own servers. No advertising network, data broker, or analytics company receives your information. We do not sell your data.

We will disclose information if the law requires it, or to investigate fraud or abuse of the service.

How long we keep it

Your account and its payment history stay while your account is open. Payment records are kept afterwards where we are required to for tax and accounting. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your personal details, keeping only what the law obliges us to.

Keeping it safe

Traffic is encrypted in transit. PINs are hashed, never stored in readable form. Access to customer records is limited to staff who need it, and every such action is recorded against a named person.

Your choices

• Turn notifications off in your phone settings, at any time.
• Ask us what we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct it.
• Ask us to delete your account.

Children

Soka ni Kazi is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will remove them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
